Se encuentra situada a los 21 grados 02´ 09´´ de latitid norte 86 grados 46´ de longuitud oeste y 5 metros sobre el nivel del mar ,en una isla muy próxima a la costa ,frente al mar caribe , vecina del antiguo puerto Juarez y a 5 kms de isla mujeres
Frente a la playa de ballenas se encuntran las ruinas del rey estas estan compuestas por dos plazas rodeadas por edificios la palza pricipal esta delimitada por tres plataformas ,una piramide ,dos pequeños templos y un edifio de tipo boveda .

The first cancun proyect (the Cancun Hotel Zone was planed on the 1970 years it was planed by fonatur and this proyect was construyed with with the credit of the banco interamericano de desarrollo the credit price were about 22 millions of dolars the money was used to construction the Hotel Zone the proyect contempled the constrcucction of an airport,a golf course and 5000 hotel rooms
